I, the above –named deponent, do hereby solemnly affirm and state on oath as follows:-
1. That I am defendant in the above- noted suit and fully acquainted with the facts of the suit.
2. That I have filed written statement and given the number of plots on the basis of verbal information from the patwari/Lekhpal/Accountant of the area.
3. That while giving instructions to my counsel , I told the numbers as given by the Patwari/Lekpal/Accountant but they proved wrong when I got certified copy of village record from the Patwari/Lekhpal/Accountant.
4. That there was practically not time at my disposal to take certified copy from the Patwari/Lekhpal/Accountant who had gone but of village on duty. Then I madean enquiry from Patwari/Lekhpal/Accountant who was on duly out of village. There he had no village records with him. So the mistake was committed inadvertently.
5. That certified copies were taken as instruction by counsel to be filed in the case on the date of issues. Now , since the mistake has been detected, it is necessary that the numbers of the plots may be corrected.
6. That amendment being sought in the written statement is not going to change the nature of the suit at all.
7. That it is the interest of justice that in the 5th line of para no…………of the written statement the number before the plot be substituted ……………….instead of ………………..
